Hungry? Check out Forms new identity for The Restaurant Show #eventprofs @RestaurantShow

Trs_01

William Reed commissioned us to create a new logo and brand identity for The Restaurant Show – the dedicated trade exhibition for the restaurant and food service industry.

The brief: Strengthen the position of the event and reflect the key offer and messages, by creating a more sophisticated identity to work across all print and digital communications (including the design of an engaging sales brochure, advertising and direct mail pieces).

Trs_cover

Our solution: The typographic logo is clean and sophisticated, with an identifiable ‘plate icon’ used as the ‘O’. We commissioned and art directed a ‘statement’ visual to define the campaign based on a beautiful, seductive photographic ‘sculpture’ comprised of items on display at the show. The colour palette consists of deep, muted gradient fades. The typography is clean, uncluttered, with a distinct information hierarchy.

Form create new video based website for @theSoGroups #eventprofs

Website1
Website2

After creating the brand identity for the SO Group (major suppliers to the events & exhibition industry) we were commissioned to design and manage the build of a CMS website to help them stand out in their industry.

Our brief was to create an engaging and eye-catching site, but most importantly - simple - with minimum text.

Our solution was to create a homepage which delivers most of the content in video format - each box represents a subbrand, which enlarges to play a video - containing the equivalent information of an entire website - in the form of upbeat interviews and visuals. Much of the other content is drawn from Facebook and Twitter feeds and is therefore always current and fresh.

The customised Wistia video platform (with fully customised player designed by us and with thanks to the talents of our technical partners webstars) allows our client to collect stats on how many videos are watched and for exactly how long so we ensure maximum engagement with the user.

Form design new Penelope Pond Spring/Summer 12 catalogue

Pp_cover
For our second season as creative partners for this Women’s Accessories brand we designed a 44 page Catalogue, combining evocative images of countryside scenery with PP product.

We selected ‘Asian binding’ for the catalogue; stitching runs down and across the spine to create a delicate, pastoral finish.

Discovery Max new brand identity by Form launched this week

Dmax_01

Discovery Networks International commissioned us to create a logo and full off-air identity system for their new free-to-air channel ‘Discovery MAX’ launched in Spain.

We have created all versions of the logo (for use across a multitude of materials), a comprehensive identity system and styleguide which covers the design of print and outdoor advertising, event banners, presentation templates, stationery and merchandise. The system was designed to work with the on-air identity developed by Discovery’s creative team in London.

Dmax_02

We felt the brand identity needed a sense of dynamism, yet link to the overall Discovery Network’s identity. We opted for a simple aesthetic with gravitas - a new channel identity needs to look instantly reliable.

A key part of the identity are large, impactful images (sourced from the programmes themselves) which communicate energy and adventure, as well as identifiable personalities which have immediate connection with the viewer.

Dmax_05

A key identifier of the logo, and overall visual language is a dynamic ‘upwards’ angle, applying to imagery and all graphic panels.

A colour gradient system is also a key part of the identity.

The primary vivid blue fade colourway is reminiscent of the globe, sea, nature.

Secondary palettes exist in red, yellow and green.

Dmax_03

“We are very happy with the results of the Discovery Max identity which fits and exceeds the demands of a challenging brief. It has been great working with Form. They are a very creative team, highly professional, and always responsive. I also found them open to collaboration and great on delivery.”

Happy Christmas from Form! (and some stories from our "Rock vs Pop" Christmas outing))

We enjoyed a jolly spiffing day out last Friday for our Form Christmas party.
Soho was experiencing a complete power cut, so Christmas lunch in Kettners in the dark with candles was fun and intimate and the Form Christmas quiz kept us fully occupied between courses and cocktails.

ROCK!

Then the history of the London music scene came alive when we hired a rock expert from London Walks to give us a Rock n Roll tour of the west-end. From Bill Hayley at the Dominion to the original offices of Northern Songs, and the original Swinging 60’s clubs like The Flamingo and the Ad Lib to the “birthplace” of Led Zeppelin c/o the original Marquee club we were suitably wowed.
We went for a drinkette in the Ship (where music roadies used to hang out in the 60s and 70s waiting for music jobs to come up) and weirdly, we bumped into Rick Mayall. Followed by more in the Pheonix Club in Charing Cross Road where the results of the quiz were announced... Congratulations Mr Paul West! ('fix' i hear you cry..., but alas,
'tis true).

POP!

Then a hop skip and jump to Wembley to see The Saturdays who we have been working with this year. They were pretty darn good and a very entertaining Christmas gig was had by all, followed by a back stage party and a mission to say Hello to all 5 girls from the band and carry on the festivities.

Happy Christmas wherever you are, and whatever you’re up to!
Here’s to a great 2012.
